And now, the workshop itinerary:

1. Basics review
2. Layer Styles Menu
3. Making custom gradients
4. Making your own brushes; the brush menu
5. Patterns; creating your own patterns
6. Installing new patterns and brushes
7. Hue/Saturation screen
8. Masking

The workshop project:

Design a magazine cover! Take images from the web and arrange them to create an eye catching cover. To start, search the web for magazines you like and try to base your design on their layout. Use Layer Styles on the text to make it stand out. Try to use the brushes and patterns that you made/found to make decorative elements.
